MP Property

Location

Compilation

The MP Property lies approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Prince George. The property consists of 5 mineral claims with a total area of 2,145 hectares. Overburden covers much of the property but occasional outcrops and numerous float boulders suggest that its depth is not great.

In 2007, an airborne magnetic survey was completed over the property. A circular anomalous magnetic feature is interpreted to coincide with the contact between a lower Jurassic-aged Ste Marie plutonic stock and Triassic-aged Takla Group sediments.

In 2008, two IP survey lines tested the magnetic anomaly. IP testing on both lines delineated moderate to high chargeability targets. Follow-up MMI sampling developed strong copper anomalies coincident with the IP anomalies. There appears to be a strong copper-gold-molybdenum correlation in the MMI sampling suggesting a porphyry signature.
